1. Introduction
This Privacy Statement outlines how the PWR Wallet handles user data. The PWR Wallet is a browser extension that allows users to manage digital assets securely. This document explains our practices regarding user data, its storage on the blockchain, and clarifies our limitations regarding liability.
2. Data Collection and Storage
2.1. No Data Collection by PWR Wallet:
The PWR Wallet does not collect or store any personal or transactional data from users. All transaction details, wallet addresses, and related data are stored solely on the PWR blockchain and not within the wallet itself. User data is fully controlled by the user on their device.
2.2. User-Controlled Data:
Personal information and private keys are stored locally on the user’s device. The PWR Wallet has no access to, or control over, private keys, passwords, or other sensitive data. It is the user's responsibility to manage and protect their own data.
3. User Privacy
User privacy is fundamental to the design of the PWR Wallet. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) or transaction data. All interactions through the wallet are processed and recorded on the PWR blockchain, which is a public ledger. However, no sensitive data is stored by the PWR Wallet or PWR Labs.
4. Security
While we take steps to provide a secure wallet environment, it is important that users take responsibility for securing their devices and private keys. Since the PWR Wallet does not store or manage private keys or passwords, users must ensure their own security, including using strong passwords and storing backup keys safely.
5. Transaction Visibility on the Blockchain
All transactions made through the PWR Wallet are recorded on the PWR blockchain, which is a public, transparent, and immutable ledger. Transaction details, such as wallet addresses and amounts, are visible to anyone who accesses the blockchain. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be altered or deleted.
6. Limitation of Liability
PWR Labs is not liable for any of the following:
Loss of funds: Users are solely responsible for managing and securing their private keys and passwords. PWR Labs cannot recover or restore access to wallets or funds if private keys are lost or compromised.
Unauthorized access: PWR Labs is not liable for unauthorized access to wallets, including security breaches, hacking, phishing attacks, or malware that results in loss or theft of digital assets.
Incorrect transactions: Transactions on the blockchain are final and cannot be reversed. PWR Labs has no control over blockchain transactions and cannot assist with reversing transactions made in error or fraudulently.
Wallet misuse: Users are responsible for the proper use of the PWR Wallet. PWR Labs disclaims any liability for issues arising from incorrect or improper use of the wallet.
Third-party vulnerabilities: PWR Labs is not responsible for any vulnerabilities or issues related to third-party applications or services that users choose to integrate with the PWR Wallet.
By using the PWR Wallet, users acknowledge that they are solely responsible for safeguarding their digital assets and that blockchain-based transactions come with inherent risks.
7. Changes to this Privacy Statement
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time to reflect changes in practices, regulatory requirements, or software updates. Any significant changes will be communicated through the wallet or on our website.
